Homa Hosseini and a honorable flag
The Iranian female rower who gained the first Olympic berth for Iranian women, attracted billions of global audiences, international media and anti-Iranian lobbies while she carried the Islamic Republic of Iran flag during the opening ceremony of 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Dressing light grass green attire and a white scarf, Homa Hosseini held the honorable, 3-colors flag of Islamic Republic of Iran and marched in front of thousands of reporters, political figures and audiences who were waiting to observe a new innovation from Iranian people who are famous internationally because of their artistic and cultural approaches during the history.
Choosing a female flag bearer for Iranian team by the National Olympic Committee was a defeating and decisive answer to those who wanted to pretend that the women rights are being violated in Iran, it also lead to a historical failure for Zionist and American lobbies in the field of their anti-Iranian black propaganda.
The US media reported that Iranian marchers were the messengers of love, peace and friendship from a misunderstood country to 4 billion live watchers and thousands of audiences attending in the "Bird's nest".

I understand. Just because Iran has one or two women in its Olympic representation it is the clear sign that women rights are not violated in Iran.
Furthermore it is a sign that their rights are not going to be violated.
I am sure that the the new bill being discussed in majlis and has nothing to do with women rights. Neither the article 23 which talks about man being allowed to take another wife without prior agreement from his present wife nor the article 25 which talks about imposing a taxation on a dowry.
I only wonder why Shirin Ebadi recently said that the new bill in majlis is a sign of return to centuries ago.
That "the new Family Protection Bill, does not only not help protect families, but actually move toward shaking the foundations of family."
But of course Shirin Ebadi does not know what she is talking about does she? The new bill and particularly the two above mentioned Godly articles will improve the women conditions because so said Moosa Ghorbani and the other IRI officials

Congrats to her. What was her placement. I love to see underdogs do well in the Olympics.
I really rooted for the Iraq soccer team to win a medal in the 04 games. They came very close.
